Music Recommendation: King's Kaleidoscope.

Haven't been much a sharer of music in the past, but by God's grace, have come this far!

King's Kaleidoscope is an "indie-rock worship band" from one of Mars Hill Church's campuses. You can find more than a few albums and E.P.'s on their bandcamp, but this E.P. is by far the most impressive and worshipful in my opinion. Four classic, incredible hymns brought to a contemporary level without distorting any of the original purpose and prose.

Favorite tracks are Come Thou Fount and In Christ Alone, though the other two are both excellent and refreshing. Also, gotta love a little brass section in your worship music! Love it.

Rittle Revi.

Love nephews.

Found some old video footage from May 2011 of a little family trip/get-together. Levi is a champ.

Things.

A few things I've been working on lately.

This was my submission for a course midterm project.

And this was for the recent Salt Company Spring Retreat to explain the rules.
The goal was to mimic the Dos Equis "The Most Interesting Man in the World" tv ads.
Not my favorite video by any means, and my apologies for the audio quality. Nevertheless, quite fun to make!

If Wes Anderson were to direct ads...

This is what they would look like.
Also, narrated by Jeff Bridges.

Schtuffs.

A bit of a collection here of odds and ends serving as inspiration and such.

First, the greatest short film of all-time.

Fantastic on so many levels. I wish I had this idea.

Compelling editing.

Ingenious, and mind-bottling amounts of work. Very well-executed.

The most wonderful ad to have happened upon my eyes and ears.

Funny stuff of late.

Doin' Work.

Finally have something to show from the last few months.

Love spending time with the family! Praise God for such a blessing of fellowship.

Heartbreaking.

Clever ad.

Even if you aren't a Parks and Recreation fan...

Christmas.

Instead of my trying to say something profound...

Advent: God With Us from The Village Church on Vimeo.

.........

One of the most amazing, heart-breaking, beautiful, disturbing and compelling films I've ever seen.

Please watch this full-screen, high-volume, and uninterrupted.

Gungor.

Two posts from Michael Gungor that are well worth your time.

The first is a "rant" by Mr. Gungor about Christian music. I agree with nearly everything he says here.

The second, is simply an in-depth description of the new album Ghosts Upon the Earth.
He describes the background for the album as a whole, as well as each song's angle. Pretty great.

Funny.

Great fun poked at Apple fans.

Hugh Jackman losing his face.

Witty little short.

Megan + Joey.

These two are engaged!

Such a fun couple. So neat!

Ru Ru.

Mr. Luke Klenske (Rittle Ru Ru) put together this fantastic title sequence for a class project of his. I had the great pleasure of assisting in the shooting front, as well as getting to see the whole process unfold.

Rather pleased with the way it turned out. Ru Ru's text titles are incredible, and the shots don't look too bad. We had a good time experimenting with a glidecam - which was quite the learning experience! And really trying on the ole asthma.

Anthem is Tonight.

And here is a video David Livingston put together for it.
I'm blessed to have been able to help shoot and things for it, but in the end it was mostly David.

I think he did an amazing job drawing people in with skilled shooting and beautiful scenery and leading their hearts to worship. At least in my case. Praise Him.

The Duvicks.

Had an amazing time shooting the wedding of Valerie and Mark Duvick a few weeks back! Really excited about the finished product, and equally excited - if not more so - to have it done. These two were gobs of fun to be around and shoot for, plus the added bonus of shooting alongside the giddy and beautiful Logan Clement.

These guys had an incredibly nice wedding in all aspects; beautiful and trendy, full of life and people, and ultimately glorifying to God. It was fantastic to reunite with so many friends, as well as participate in one of the largest wedding dances I've yet witnessed. All-in-all, a wonderful day, and a fantastic wedding!

Congratulations, you two!

More Frivolities.

Soccer. Football. Frivolous, yes. But a gift from God? No doubt!

This is mind-bottling!

Were I to learn how to create such a beautiful tapestry, there would be no end to the things I would transform! Most of them certainly menial and average.
